Hiscox provide optional cover for home emergencies, so you don’t have to worry if you have boiler problems or a burst pipe. They are there 24 hours a day and will get a qualified and approved contractor out to you for a home emergency if you need it.

What is not covered

Some of the things which are not covered include:

  • If your home is left unoccupied for 60 days and something happens, you are not covered
  • Damage caused by tear and wear or anything which happens gradually
  • Any damage caused by any cleaning, restoration or renovation carried out
  • Damage caused by subsidence or landslides
